Gazi Mahmud Al Maruf is a Biomedical Engineer by profession and a passionate Wildlife & Bird Photographer from Bangladesh. His fascination with photography began during his school years with a Yashica film camera, where patience, observation, and storytelling first became part of his creative journey.

After years devoted to education, career, and family life, he returned to photography in 2019 with renewed determination. Since then, he has dedicated countless weekends and expeditions to documenting Bangladesh's extraordinary wildlife, capturing authentic moments that celebrate nature while strictly following ethical wildlife photography practices.

Today, Al Maruf has documented more than 370 species of resident and migratory birds, creating a growing visual archive that reflects not only technical excellence but also deep respect for biodiversity, conservation, and the fragile beauty of the natural world.

My Ethics

Every photograph I create is captured with respect for wildlife and their natural habitats. I never use live bait, artificial attractants, or any practice that may disturb or alter the natural behaviour of birds and animals.

My goal is to document authentic moments exactly as they happen in the wild. Honesty, patience, and ethical field practices are the foundation of every photograph I share.

Through responsible wildlife photography, I hope to inspire awareness, appreciation, and long-term conservation of Bangladesh's remarkable biodiversity.
